aware of being naive

Maximilian Arnold & Martin Kähler at Basis, Frankfurt

One space, two weeks, two friends, one evening – at the end of 2016 Maximilian Kähler and Maximilian Arnold took the two weeks they had the space at Basis Frankfurt to create an exhibition that was in the end on view for only one night. Instead of preparing the exhibition before hand, to then make it publicly accessible for two weeks, the two artist decided to use this time to settle in with the space and its  architecture to then alter it. A bit of plaster and chalk created interventions to stir up the structure of the white exhibition space allowing for a at first sight subtle but at second glance intense spacial experience.
